Reordering, Hiding, Uninstalling & Renaming

Note: Involver applications only work on Facebook fan pages, which are used to promote brands, artists, local businesses, non-profits, etc. Involver apps will not work on personal profiles (individual user accounts) or Facebook Groups. How to reorder Involver applications on your fan page

To change the order of your applications, follow these simple steps:

Below the list of apps in the left sidebar, click More. This will surface the Edit button and show all of your applications. After you click Edit, you can drag and drop your applications in the order you prefer. Be sure to Refresh your screen for the new order to take effect.

Note: you cannot rearrange the Wall or Info applications, as these are native to the Facebook platform.

How to hide an Involver application from your fan page

There are two ways to hide an application, which does not uninstall it but just hides it from view on your Facebook fan page.

  • The first way to hide an app is from the list of apps in your left sidebar. Click More below the list of apps to make sure all your applications are showing. Hover over any of the tabs and X’s will appear to the left of your applications as you hover over them. Click the X to the left of the application you wish to hide.

Note: you cannot hide the Wall or Info applications, as these are native to the Facebook platform.

The second way to hide an app is through the Edit Page area of your fan page:

  • Click Edit Page in the upper right of your fan page, then click on Apps in the list that appears to the left. Beneath the app you wish to remove, click on Edit Settings then click (remove). This will remove (i.e. hide) the application from the Facebook page, but will not completely uninstall it.
How to uninstall an Involver application from your fan page

To uninstall an application at any time, follow these simple steps:

  • If you wish to uninstall an application (i.e. remove it completely, so as to be able to add another free application), you must be in the Edit Page area of your fan page. If you’re not there already, click Edit Page in the upper right of your fan page, then click on Apps in the list that appears to the left. Click the X to the far right of the app you wish to uninstall.  A confirmation will pop up, making sure you are sure you want to uninstall. Once you click on the blue rectangle labeled Remove, the app will be removed completely from your fan page.

Please note: the amount of applications allowed will vary based on what pricing plan you have purchased.  For Basic users, there is a limit of 2 installed applications from our Basic gallery at a time. For users at the Professional and Business level, there is a default limit of 2 installed applications at a time, with enhanced settings, a wider variety of apps to choose from, and the ability to add additional apps for a fee. Users at the Enterprise level can access an unlimited amount of applications in their corresponding application gallery.

How to rename an Involver application from your fan page

Facebook has recently made it easier for users to change the names of the applications that appear to the left of your Facebook Wall.

If you're not there already, click Edit Page in the upper right of your fan page, then click on Apps in the list that appears to the left. Click on Edit Settings under the app you wish to rename and a pop-up will appear. Type your revised tab name in the box to the right of where it says Custom Tab Name. Click Save.

Note: only third party apps (for example, from Involver), allow you to make this change. Some users find that they need to click Save twice before the new name is saved.
